SFL will be carried on this weekend!

Hello everybody! As we all know there are some concern among all of you as there were rumours that saying it is dangerous to go out this weekend.

For information, this Friday is Russia’s National Unity Day and all the nationalist will use this event to held riots and march. But as we all concerned on Saturday it will be safe for all to go out. However, we love to list few reminders for you to ensure all of us go and back safely this Saturday.

  1. Do move in groups.Move together and keep your eyes for each other safety :)
  2. Don’t make noise in public, we hope u guys keep your conversation a bit low in pitch and frequency. We do not want to attract people to see us,don’t we?
  3. Keep the contacts of SMSA’s or embassy’s people, just in case of your own safety. Do report to us if anything happen, just in case, okay?
We wish you guys success this weekend and we hope that all of us well and safe for this week’s match.See u guys this Saturday!

3 things we learned from the first three SFL games

Joy and sadness,a lot of  praise and critics were flying around SFL this year on the teams and player’s performance. Here we have compiled some of our thoughts on how we are doing this season so far.

1) Attractive attacking gameplay won’t get you anywhere without finishing.

We have seen how good and brilliant U9′s attacking tactics had been since SFL started. But we were left wondering why on earth Belacan, with their great,technically-gifted players, scored only once and failed to win their last two matches. Every time they played they showed their quality in possessing the ball well, passing around ala Barcelona, but when it comes to finishing they were bitterly poor. Furthermore, their sole goal came from penalty, with Ihsan the skipper gave them their one and only win so far from the first game.

From a title contender last year, early season forms angered some of their fans. However I believe, that they are yet to show their gifts, particularly their key man Hasnol. Blamed for being selfish and easily tired, Hasnol’s focus has been distracted with his commitment to E-Med 2 in the 1st MSMU Inter-Faculty Cup.To be honest, me myself have a confidence that given the time to rest and recover,he’ll come back stronger and better.

2)There are diamonds that lie beneath our sight

The emergence of all but few players that shine thoroughly our League this year made us realized that some of this good players, unluckily dissapeared when they were not given the chance to star in our competition. These players, given chances and opportunity, can bring us glory in the future.

One particular name is Azree Azlan, who came out of nothing, almost single-handedly brings Sindot FC to the third place having played 3 games.Twice netted brace, every pair of eyes stuck on him,and evry moves he made bring chaos to the opposition.Unsurprisingly some of the seniors have shouted his name to be called up to our university’s team this year.

3) All teams are on the same level, and there are still long way to go

U9 thrashed Diablos 4-0 in the opener, but struggled to beat KBFC 2-1 at matchweek 3.Yong Peng FC,Dong Dong FC and Sindot cxame from nowhere, fought and won some matches unexpectedly, while teams like Produkti,Thani Thotti and KBFC showed great promises throughout the competition. Old folks such as Sifut Sedut,Paru Paru,Stardog and Kuda Tua have made steady progress in this early stage of the season.Diablos struggled at first but notched a brilliant win on the last match during matchweek 3.All but none came as a wonderful, welcomed surprise as the competition moves onto the new matchweek this Saturday, and we cannot wait to witness another night of glorious footballing action at Soyuz!

Goals galore, shocking results, individual brilliances : Matchweek 3 reviews!

From the brilliance individual effort of Viknish Tangaperumal to the last minute victory of Sindot FC; yesterday we have witnessed some the most exciting matches since the opening week of SFL2011.With 20 goals scored in 9 matches, some of them scored by the fresh names on our scorer’s list. Here are our reviews on what really happened last night at Soyuz Sport Club.

King’s Park Rangers 2-0 Produkti

The brilliance goals say it all. Both came from the undoubtedly Man Of The Match, Vicknish Tangaperumal, or known as Vicky. Controversially blasted his teammates before the matchweek 3 because of their poor performance recently, he added the fuel by not wearing KPR’s jersey during yesterday match. However, KPR’s very own “Mario Balotelli” shined throughout the match, outclassed opponent with fiery shot for the first goal and cheeky chip shot for the second.

“I have nothing to say anymore. My left foot said it all.”,he told our correspodent after the match.

G95B 1-0 Belacan

This has been the most shocking result for the whole night. Steady defensive plays by Abilash was helped by unlucky Belacan’s strikeforce led by Hasnol. In the end, a sole goal by Super Sara punished Ihsan and his teammates, as the Shrimp ponders their luck in coming games.

Hasnol told us.“Our finishing has been poor. Credit to G95B defence, but their time-wasting tactics made us complained and at the end,we thought more than we play. Our mistakes”.

Sifut Sedut 3-0 Chivas FC

Alif the saviour!all eyes were  set toward the Snail’s skipper Adeeb and Shairi Lead but then Alif Faliq stole the headlines for every good reason. He scored double as Sifut Sedut recorded their first ever victory this season, and Chivas’s problem worsened.Second consecutive losses left them deep in the 11th places with only 3 points from 3 matches.Lowell and his teammates have some works to do through this week to get their campaign back on track.

Stardog 3-0 Kuda Tua

Kuda Tua has been unlucky this season for many reasons. First they lose their captain through injury, then they lose their lead last week against Sifut Sedut. Last night, the injury yet again caused The Horse victory as they lose ground to Stardog 0-3.

“I can’t feel my leg anymore after been kicked at one time during the match. We gave our best but still, lady luck are not smiling on our side.Let’s keep our hand together and give our best next time.,”Hannan said as he vowed to help his team back on winning way next time.

Yong Peng FC 1-1 DongDong FC

MOTW for matchweek3 brought a lot of actions and controversies as both teams attack from the dawn of the match. Aliff Zaki led the Yong Peng upfront while as expected Hazwan spearheaded his team venomous attacks. Both teams would agree the outcome of the match,as both created chances and defending well for the whole 14minutes.Goals came from Aisar and Hazwan, but lots can be taken from our youngster performances.Surely the bright future for MSMU in the coming years.

PARU² 1-2 Sindot FC

Both sides yet to concede prior to the yesterday match and both also came out with high hopes to record win.Sindot FC however emerged the better of two, when their star player Azree Azlan scored yet another brace.Azree scored the winner at the very last minute as Pai and friends bemoans their last minute defensive lapse.

“We could have done better. But the good news is our striker Fuad has started to score and we hope in the next match he will be the deadliest one. We’ll come back stronger”Pai stated, with belief that they will back in their form next week.

U9 2-1 KBFC

A physical match indeed, with sliding were flying around even though players had been warned not to do so by organizer. U9 won this match, with the brilliance of sizzling Suzuan again been the major factor in a little-bit-ugly game. U9 reinstated their forces with all wins from three games, while KBFC still finding their breakthrough this season.

Diablos 2-0 Thanni Thotti

Diablos now has the point, they had won and won’t look back again.thanks to nthe double punches by Sukhdev and Ram Naidu. The last game of the Matchweek3 saw the attacking gameplay by both sides but Thanni Thotti still left blunt upfront. The creative,quick-footed Anantha Kumar looked rather rusty, and they need to find their boost to ensure their season does not end up in failure. In the other end, The Locos are having their so-long missed joyness and laughter, hoping this win will lead them to their old glory and fame.

Player’s close up : KPR starlet laments lacked of confidence

King's Park Rangers (KPR) - Run of poor form lately, will they able to change it?

“To be one of the teams that have not been able to win even a single point really hurts me. We need to get back on track, but our confidence is now low and i don’t know how it will be with our next match.”

KPR’s startlet Viknish Tangaperumal, known as Vicky among friends has voiced his concern on the team’s level of confidence that costs them losses from their opening two games. Their dissapointment can be seen among the players when they were put through sword 0-2 by debutant Sindot FC last week.

“Every single thing turned badly for us, we were terrible in every aspect. We were slow, lost in pace, sluggish in defence and poor in the air. We got chances but where was the finishing? I could not understand this!” he added, anxiously,on losing twice in this early part of the season.

However, he is still hoping for a change in luck for his team.”We can do this. We need decks,we need to turn the table around. Our strength is on our teamwork,if we unite then we can beat anybody after this!”

The Royals’ now ranked 15th,above the last-ranked Diablos only on goal difference. They will face another debutant Produkti FC, and Vicky with his teammates will be keen to win this to boost their hope to win anything this season.

MOTW Preview : le Pushkin Classique!

This week we are going to have our whole attention pointed at the mouth-watering derby match between Yong Peng FC and DongDong FC. Both sides have emerged as surprise contenders out of nothing after brilliant performance during Gameweek 2.

‘Underdogs’ title have been given to both sides before the tournament started,as all of us did not really know their actual abilities when it comes for football. However the majestic individual performances by both team aces have set up the high standard; none of them nowadays were known as team to be easily beaten anymore.

The marvellous presence of Hazwan, 1st year Dong Dong FC playmaker has received a lot of praises around the SFL community. Already touted as the best player M1 ever had since Rajiv, Afi and Suzuan, now all eyes stucked on him whenever he touch the ball. Skill, decisive passes and deadly shots will be expected from him this time around. His partnership with Irfan up front enlightened Dong Dong’s strike force and we will see whether this fruitful partnership works or otherwise this weekend.

Unlike Dong Dong FC, Yong Peng’s strength comes from the mixture of young spirit and experience. The emergence of Aliff Zaki, Aisar and Shamsul from the 1st year batch and the ever presence of skipper Syafiq Apeng and Nazrin CR can shake any opponent who’ll be facing them. Their counter attacking style of play has been effective during the match with Chivas FC, and the confidence from the fresh victory can  ensure their victorious outing against Dong Dong this time.

This Saturday night, these two teams with the most supports from the other participants will lock horn facing each other. Will it remind us on how fiercely Zibom FC and U9 matches had been on past SFLs? Will this be the starting of a new SFL’s legendary rivalry? We are looking forward this weekend and hopefully both teams will produce their best form in search of dominance and gory. who is the Futsal King of Pushkin, we will wait :)

REMINDERS : For ALL Teams, For Our Own Goods!

My Dear Friends, please treat this reminder as serious as it sounded to you. This is all we can evaluate and we can improve as two matchday of our SFL 2011 passed. Hope that you guys follow what we will enlist below for a better, smoother event for upcoming weekends.

Reminder For Rules Of The Game:

Since we have seen few incidents happened during certain matches, we would like to stress out few outlines that remain as confusions among players.

1st, intended backpass to the goalkeeper.Goalkeeper CANNOT touch the ball by hands, ever.

2nd,dangerous sliding are NEVER allowed in this competition, especially for outfield player towards another player. Few tackles have been flying around this weekend, hope we wont see any broken leg or finger happen in our SFL this year.

3rd,shooting from the kick-off or throw-in point are always allowed.BUT,if it went straight to the net without touching any player, including keeper,it WONT be counted as a goal.the ball NEEDS to touch somebody, again, including keeper,on its route to the back of the net.

4th, Referee’s words are their final words, your argument will be your ultimatum. You don’t want to see cards for stupid reasons right?

5th, some people said football is a gentleman game play by hooligans, let just prove this wrong okay? be gentle dear friends, respect and support comes first love :)

The In-Form ‘Park Ji-Kumbs’!

Don’t let the ‘cute’ name behind him fools you. Creative, Quick Feet & Strong with a bulldog like approach makes Kumbang one of the must be feared attacker in SFL this season. Also known as ‘Three Lung Kumbs’ by his StarDog comrades due to his high total lung capacity, he have scored a brace in two consecutive matches so far making him the topscorer of SFL after Gameweek 2.

In his previous season with HotDog, his goalscoring record was magnificent, 7 goals in 7 games helping his team claim the Champions title in Group A of SFL 2010 with an unbeaten record. Asked the friendly man about his targets this season with StarDog,

” 2 wins in a row have boost my confidence to peform better in the games ahead and of course my main target this season is to help my team add another Star to this badge and claim the golden boot. But who am i without my teammates who keeps helping me on the court. We’ll keep trying and win every game and I hope my form stays this way through out the whole season!”

With two straight victories, StarDog cannot be taken lightly even they struggled to scored in the previous matches. With their in-form attacker Kumbang or can be called Park Ji Kumbs due to his love of korean culture, other teams must be aware of this man and his team! Maybe he can break the 3 goals in a game barrier this season!

The in-form Kumbtastic!
